After 139 years, the Prattville Progress will no longer be printed, but the news will keep coming. May 16 is the last edition off the presses. The paper first published in 1886, according to the Library of Congress. The more things change, the more they stay the same. I've been writing stories about Prattville, Autauga County and the surrounding area for 34 years, first as a reporter for the Progress and now as a reporter for the Montgomery Advertiser.
