    CINCINNATI (WXIX) - As the federal government continues to cut funds nationally, multiple organizations in Cincinnati and Ohio say they are feeling the impacts. On May 9, a third of the staff at the Ohio History Connection were laid off as the Trump Administration continues to withhold already appropriated funds from the Historic Preservation Fund. Withholding theses funds resulted in the State Historic Preservation Office to lay off 12 of its employees, the agency confirmed.

The independent group, 21CP Solutions, released their findings and recommendations on the response to the neo-Nazi demonstration on the Interstate 75 overpass. The group’s report widely backed up the actions of the Evendale Police Department and offered a list of recommendations.

    BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio (WXIX) - A school tax levy that ended in a tie during the Ohio 2025 May Primary has officially failed. On Thursday, the Butler County Board of Elections recounted the votes for Madison Local School District’s renewal tax levy. However, the board counted 621 residents voted for it, while 626 voted against it.

    CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The soon-to-be “state-of-the-art” music and entertainment center, known as Riverbend 2.0, officially has a name: The Farmer Music Center. Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Music and Entertainment Management, Inc. made the announcement Thursday morning after the Farmer Family Foundation gifted them $60 million for the project. Both groups say that this is the “largest philanthropic commitment” that’s been made to the arts in recent Cincinnati history.
