NEW RICHMOND, Ohio (WXIX) - Parts of New Richmond are underwater Monday afternoon as the Ohio River crested a little higher than anticipated. It is all hands on deck in New Richmond with a sheriff’s helicopter scanning the terrain from the air and a search and rescue team from the New Richmond Fire Department taking to water to help those stranded. ”The good news is we are at the crest. The bad news is the crest came up a little higher than we were hoping,” said New Richmond Vice Mayor Larry Prues.

CINCINNATI (WXIX/Gray News) - A 15-year-old boy in Ohio was arrested after he allegedly shot and killed his mom’s abusive boyfriend, according to authorities. The teen’s mother told police that 30-year-old Levonte Hyde punched her in the face several times as they drove to a store. The two began to argue when Hyde called her a vulgar name. That’s when he allegedly began punching her in the face several times while driving. When officers arrived, they found Hyde with multiple gunshot wounds.

Some unusual behavior by a Ludlow city councilwoman has turned into a complaint filed for possible sexual harassment. Council member Abby Miller is accused of licking a Ludlow city administrator candidate after his interview, according to a witness. At the end of Thursday‘s Ludlow City Council meeting, City Attorney Todd McMurtry read a complaint filed by former police chief and now city administrator, Scott Smith.
