WAVERLY, Ohio (WXIX) - Edward “Jake” Wagner agreed to spend the rest of his life in prison with no chance of parole when he pleaded guilty four years ago to killing most of the eight victims in the 2016 Pike County massacre. His defense attorney, the judge overseeing the case at the time and the victims’ families all agreed to the terms of the plea deal, including life in prison without the possibility of parole.

EVENDALE, Ohio (WXIX) - Results from an independent investigation into the Feb. 7 neo-Nazi demonstration has left one Hamilton County agency shocked. The independent group, 21CP Solutions, released their findings and recommendations on the response to the neo-Nazi demonstration on the Interstate 75 overpass. The group’s report widely backed up the actions of the Evendale Police Department and offered a list of recommendations.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A Cincinnati man is accused of strangling his elderly dog, resulting in a vet having to euthanize the animal, newly filed court records show. Richard Orth, 59, of East Price Hill, appeared in court Tuesday in front of Judge Samantha Silverstein. The Hamilton County deputy dog warden charged him Monday with prohibitions concerning companion animals and cruelty to animals after seeing injuries to the animal’s neck and throat, according to an affidavit.
