Actors who have had featured roles in TV series including "Only Murders in the Building," "Breaking Bad" and "Succession" — not to mention the film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" — have joined the cast of the biopic "Hershey." The movie, which stars stars Finn Wittrock ("American Horror Story") as Milton Hershey and Alexandra Daddario ("White Lotus") as his wife, Catherine "Kitty" Hershey, began filming in earlier this month in western Pennsylvania.

About a year ago, two well-known buffet restaurants in Lancaster County were voted the country's No. 1 and No. 3 buffet restaurants by the readers of USA Today's 10Best — a food, travel and lifestyle site. The same two restaurants are again competing for bragging rights in this year's Reader's Choice contest. Shady Maple Smorgasbord, the buffet in East Earl that just turned 40 years old, and Miller's Smorgasbord, Ronks, are both seeking reader votes.

J.P. McCaskey High School’s spring musical production of “The Wedding Singer” was a big winner Sunday night at the 17th annual Hershey Theatre Apollo Awards, held in Hershey’s Giant Center. It was McCaskey’s first year competing at the Apollo Awards. McCaskey’s production won six awards, including outstanding musical of the year. Based on the Tony Awards, the Apollo Awards recognize achievement, both onstage and behind the scenes, by local high school students in musical and play productions.
