Pennsylvania U.S. Sen. John Fetterman introduced a bill called the Convenient Contraception Act that would improve access to contraceptive products, including over-the-counter contraceptives.In a news release announcing the introduction of the bipartisan bill, Fetterman's office says: The bill would allow individuals covered by private health insurance plans to receive up to a full-year supply of contraceptives at one time and would require plans to cover the associated cost at pickup.

The U.S. Department of Justice announced that a man arrested in Dauphin County will now spend time behind bars for illegally re-entering the country. A federal judge sentenced Eustolio Sanchez-Ramirez, 38, of Chiapas, Mexico, to three months in prison last Thursday. Sanchez-Ramirez was deported in November 2018, but the U.S. Department of Justice says he re-entered the country at some point that same month.

U.S. Senators John Fetterman, D-Pennsylvania, and Dave McCormick, R-Pennsylvania, introduced a bill in the U.S. Senate to expand burial benefits for veterans' families. The bill is called the Dennis and Lois Krisfalusy Act. It would allow the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide memorial headstones or markers for veterans, their spouses, and children, regardless of when they died.
