IT seems that Britain’s honey may not be so sweet, after all. Astonishingly, nine of every ten honey samples purchased from major UK supermarkets and retailers failed a new authenticity test, raising fears that jars are packed with cheap sugar syrup instead of the golden goodness we expect. The Honey Authenticity Network UK sent 30 honey samples for testing – five from local beekeepers and 25 from big-name retailers, including our best-known supermarkets. The results were quite frankly outrageous.

PUBS are now being forced to put up signs instructing customers – especially them damn youngsters– to not queue at the bar like they are in the Post Office. Generation Z prefer to queue up and wait in line for a beer – apparently us Brits will queue for around 52 days of our lives, with the pub (until recently) being the last bastion of a life without lines.

IT’S official – Swift Half is actually good for you. Well, the internet is anyway, and we’d like to think we’re the main reason you use it. Despite fears social media stalking and celebrity obsession are ruining the lives of anyone with a smartphone, new research suggests those who use the internet have better mental and physical wellbeing than those who don’t. With nearly a quarter of five to seven year olds now owning a smartphone this could be good news for parents.
