GRAND FORKS — One of Grand Forks’ busiest bridges is now closed for several months. The Columbia Road Overpass, between Altru and UND, is getting a major facelift. About 20,000 cars cross the overpass daily. It appears drivers listened to the weeks of warning about the project. The bridge closed shortly after 6 a.m. on Monday, May 19. No major traffic headaches have been reported. In total, 44 bearings need to be replaced on the bridge.
