ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Muskingum County Land Reutilization Corporation, also known as the Land Bank, has awarded an Ohio contractor with the asbestos removal of five dilapidated residential properties within the City of Zanesville that are slated for demolition. Land Bank Executive Director Andy Roberts explained how many of the land bank’s blighted property projects are often chosen in lieu of the extra costs associated with the handling and disposal of hazardous materials.

Blue Rock, Ohio – Many area state routes are built from trails that were established before the automobile. Ohio Department of Transportation District 5 Public Information Officer Chas Cosgrave explained how State Route 376 in Gaysport will be closed to modernize a sharp turn for improved safety. “The State Route 376 project will begin April 21st, with a 60 day closure,” Cosgrave said. “We’re essentially fixing the grade of the slope that leads in the corner of State Route 376.

Zane State Professor Will Bailey explained how the event introduces students to emerging technologies and the educational pathways needed to pursue those careers. “Well it’s a STEM Combine,” Bailey said. “It’s for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math and we’re here to spark curiosity in the students from a couple schools, Zanesville City and Buckeye Trail.
