The lineup for this year’s Arts, Beats & Eats has been released, and no one may be more excited than Big Jim!WCSX will be there all weekend, broadcasting live from the 27th Annual Soaring Eagle Arts, Beats, and Eats Presented by Flagstar Bank. Jack White surprised fans last week by secretly releasing a new album in his Nashville, Detroit, and London Third Man Record stores. He then encouraged fans to release the “No Name” album online. On Wednesday, Jack White’s highly anticipated sixth solo album, ‘No Name,’ was officially announced to be released this Friday, August 2nd. The unexpected announcement caught everyone off guard, including White’s publicist, who told Rolling Stone they were ‘as surprised as everyone else’ by the news.

Fans of the 80s rock legend Jane’s Addiction are excited their back! The band reunited with the original lineup for their London and upcoming North American Tour, including the return of Dave Navarro and Eric Avery. Along with their tour, they released their first single in 12 years, their first single with the original band in over 30 years titled “Imminent Redemption.” They debuted it during their London concert at Bush Hall in May. Detroiter and guitar phenom, John 5, is coming back to The Token Lounge in September. John once told me in an interview that no matter how big or famous he’d become, he’d always play the Token Lounge. He’s making good on that promise with his upcoming Strung Out tour, which stops at The Token on September 8th. I’ve seen John play The Token a few times, and he never disappoints. After one show, I jokingly told him he missed a note as he came off stage.
