    Workers at Caesars Southern Indiana Hotel and Casino are on strike over a contract dispute. Officials with Teamsters Local 89 said more than 140 union workers are on strike. They said Caesars "failed to offer a fair contract that matches the property’s record-breaking profits."According to Teamsters, the hotel and casino made more than $240 million in revenue in 2024. This puts them among the most profitable casinos in the state, officials said.

    A southern Indiana man was arrested last week and charged with child battery, according to police. According to Indiana State Police, a trooper responded to reports of battery to a 4-year-old child in Scott County on April 4. Police said the alleged incident happened on April 3. The child was taken to Norton Children's Hospital and evaluated by a forensic team. The Indiana Department of Child Services then got involved, interviewing the child.

    A Louisville man is facing charges after he allegedly threatened to kill a pregnant restaurant worker. Louisville Metro Police Department claims that Darrie Woods got mad while waiting to place an order at Dizzy Whizz in Old Louisville last month. Woods then allegedly followed a female employee inside, pointed a gun at her and threatened to kill her. He was arrested over the weekend after a high-speed police chase.
