Greetings!Sorry this is a bit late. Better late than never though, eh? But enough of this persiflage! On with the newsletter. TerryLast week I had an accident. I thought that while Lady Elaine was out with a group of friends, I’d cycle to a local park, there to read, relax and quaff coffee. However, Fate had other ideas. Yes, I know this is late, but it’s not my fault. I sat down yesterday to write this missive, and before I’d reached the end of the second paragraph one of our cats leapt onto my lap, curled up, and promptly went to sleep. She’ll have to go. Greetings!Here’s a poster I created and put up in my classroom when I was a teacher. I told the kids that the girl in the picture was my wife.

Nearly all construction contracts contain terms dictating when and how a contractor must pursue claims for contractual relief. However, these terms are not always strictly enforced. A contractor’s failure to timely submit a claim may not prevent recovery if, for example, the contractor can demonstrate that the owner had actual knowledge of the circumstances giving rise to the claim.
