Four Lakes Task Force reports no impact to dams following steady rains

Four Lakes Task Force addressed concerns of residents that spring rains elevated the Tittabawassee River beyond its normal level. As most dam construction remains suspended pending a Michigan Supreme Court decision, the Task Force stated Tuesday that the dams are not at their final design capacity. However, even as they are, each dam has the capacity to safely pass at least a 200-year flood event.
