Few productions arrive in the West End with greater fanfare than Stereophonic. The American play, telling the story of a fictional rock band with more than a passing resemblance to Fleetwood Mac, received a record 13 Tony nominations before the inevitable transfer across the pond. It's a truly remarkable evening, elevated by its superb production design – the stage is transformed into a multi-level studio – and a cast who make their characters their own, performing multiple songs.

It's sunrise in Cape Town and I'm hanging off a mountain. This isn't artistic licence: both hands are gripping rock, my trainers are scrambling for a purchase, and an ill-timed sneeze will see me descending Lion's Head significantly faster than I went up. Somewhere above my head is Ryan Cole, one of South Africa's finest chefs, and his two Staffordshire terriers, Truffle and Rhino. There’s this notion of Budapest as an ideal stag party destination. Quick flights, cheap booze, strong beer, ruin bars, a currency that feels like monopoly money. (4,000 HUF for an aperol spritz? I have no idea if this is a great deal or imminent bankruptcy.) It’s a simplistic mentality that undersells Budapest’s remarkable culture and presents Brits abroad as pissed up philistines who descend on cities like invading armies, leaving a trail of carnage in their wake.

So I’m killing time on YouTube and the algorithm brings a Business Insider video to my attention: Sword Master Rates 10 Sword Fights From Movies And TV. I’m a simple man. I clicked. The video was sparse but effective: a clip was played, the sword master dissected the historical and technical accuracy of said clip, while supplying additional information of his own.
