Major champion Ashleigh Buhai made a hole-in-one on Saturday at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club in the third round of the Maybank Championship. The 34-year-old South African aced the par-3 4th hole with a gap wedge from 101 yards. It is the first hole-in-one of Buhai's LPGA Tour career and the 18th ace of the 2023 LPGA Tour season. "I think it was about 98 meters, which was a perfect yardage for a full gap wedge,” said Buhai of her first ace in Tour competition. “Hit it straight at the pin.

Thailand native Atthaya Thitikul shot the round of the week on Saturday at the Maybank Championship, carding a bogey-free, 10-under 62 on Moving Day to sit in a tie for second at 17-under, one shot back of the 54-hole lead held by rookie Rose Zhang. After starting her day with a pair of pars, the 20-year-old made back-to-back birdies on holes 3 and 4, grabbing two more birdies on the par-4 6th hole and par-3 8th hole to turn in 32.

Massachusetts native Brittany Altomare has revealed that she is expecting her first child. The 10-year LPGA Tour veteran was on-site at Fenway Park for the LPGA’s announcement of the FM Global Championship, a new event that will be played at TPC Boston next fall, and took to the LPGA Tour’s Instagram story to share the happy news. “Excited to bring golf back to Massachusetts in my home state and also to be here at Fenway Park because it’s baby’s first ballpark,” said Altomare in the video.

The newly created tournament will offer one of the largest purses on the LPGA TourBOSTON and DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Oct. 27, 2023) – The LPGA Tour and FM Global announced today that TPC Boston in Norton, Mass., will host the 2024 FM Global Championship. From Aug. 29 to Sept. 1, the newly created tournament will feature a field of 144 players competing for a $3.5 million purse, the largest prize fund on the LPGA Tour outside of the majors and tour championship.

Alison Lee came up just short in Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea, missing out on her first LPGA Tour win after losing to Minjee Lee in a playoff, but she still had the move of the week, jumping 25 spots in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings from No. 66 to No. 41, the highest ranking of her career since May of 2017. The UCLA alum played solid in the BMW Ladies Championship, finishing with birdies on the 17th and 18th holes to post at 16-under and force the playoff.
