(ABC 6 News) – Johnson’s Hardware Store in Dodge Center went up in smoke after catching fire on Wed. night, resulting in “major damage” to building. The Dodge Center Fire Dept. responded to the blaze just after 7 p.m., after a witness saw grey smoke coming from the building’s roof. Firefighters on scene told ABC 6 News there was no one inside at the time of the fire and that it was isolated to the store’s backroom.

The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office holds it biannual award ceremony honoring law enforcement & civilians for heroic actions(ABC 6 News) – The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Dept. held its biannual award ceremony Thurs. night and several law enforcement officers and citizens were honored in from of the office and their families. Taking center stage were stories like that from Corp. Justin Dombrovski and Det. Deputy Conner Forrest, who saved the life of a potential overdose victim.

(ABC 6 News) – A driver crashed into a city-owned Rochester building Thurs. night after showing signs of impairment, according to the Rochester Police Dept. Amanda Grayson, the communications coordinator for RPD, says it happened around 7:30 p.m.Dispatch received a report of a driving weaving in and out of traffic near Elton Hills Drive NW and Broadway Ave. N before it crashed into the Development Services and Infrastructure Center off of West River Parkway.

(ABC 6 News) – Today, March 31, 2025, marks two years since Winona mother of two, Madeline Kingsbury, vanished without a trace. Kingsbury, an employee at Rochester’s Mayo Clinic, is described by friends and family as nurturing, funny, kind and caring. ABC 6 News has spoken to her parents who say Kingsbury’s whole world revolved around her family, especially her son and daughter.

(ABC 6 News) – The Austin Fire Dept. responded to a house fire just after 2:45 p.m. on Thurs. afternoon as dozens of people gathered to watch firefighters battle the flames. According to AFD, once crews were on-scene they saw flames showing out the window on both sides of the home. Chief Jim McCoy says one person inside thankfully escaped with some of their cats. Everyone else that lives in the home were outside at the time of the fire. Sadly, four kittens died in the blaze.

Absolutely no political leaning on this repost - but this was incredibly disappointing to see last night. Regardless of your party affiliation, we must remember we are ALL Americans - this little boy was so excited…disheartening we can’t even celebrate that to say the least.
