Kingsbury, an employee at Rochester’s Mayo Clinic, is described by friends and family as nurturing, funny, kind and caring. ABC 6 News has spoken to her parents who say Kingsbury’s whole world revolved around her family, especially her son and daughter.

(ABC 6 News) – The man accused of stabbing someone inside an apartment complex in northwest Rochester this month has entered a plea of not guilty. Eric Fields Jr., 25, is charged with 1st degree assault causing great bodily harm and 2nd degree assault with a dangerous weapon for an incident that happened on March 10, 2025.

(ABC 6 News) – Sarah Petersen and her defense team are asking the judge in her criminal case for probation ahead of her sentencing next week. Sarah originally faced 16 charges for telling Fillmore County law enforcement that she, not her identical twin sister Samantha Petersen, caused a crash that killed two children in an Amish buggy on County Road 1 while on their way to school in 2023. Law enforcement later learned that Samantha allegedly caused the crash and had methamphetamine in her system.

(ABC 6 News) – The man arrested in connection to a deadly stabbing at a Mankato Kwik Trip has been officially charged with murder on Thursday. Michael Miller, 28, is charged with 2nd degree murder with intent but not premediated, which is a felony, in Blue Earth County court. The judge set his bail at $4,000,000. This bail, which is unusually high, was set for a number of reasons according to the court.

Story provided by WDIO’s sister station, KAAL. Adam Fravel was found guilty of two counts of 1st-degree murder and two counts of 2nd-degree murder Nov. 7. A Mankato jury reached the verdict after just more than a day of deliberations. Winona mother Madeline Kingsbury disappeared in March of 2023 after dropping her kids off with Fravel at daycare. Kingsbury’s remains were eventually discovered in June of that year, in a culvert in rural Fillmore County.
