SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The annual Food Truck Battle will return for its fourth year with a special surprise as it extends the competition from one day to two days. The 2024 Food Truck Battle will take over Chevy Court at the New York State Fairgrounds on Friday, May 10, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.This year’s lineup is jam-packed with food, fun and live music.

OSWEGO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — It wasn’t until after a 12-unit apartment building caught on fire on Tuesday night, April 23, that the Scriba Fire Department found there were actually working smoke detectors inside. The department responded to the fire at 38 Birch Lane in Oswego around 5:04 p.m. and found the building engulfed in flames. Over 60 firefighters from Oswego City, Minetto, Novelis, Volney and New Haven responded and Mexico and Oswego Town VFD provided extra coverage for the surrounding areas.
