PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - Three people were injured in t-bone style crash, according to Wood County Sheriff Rick Woodyard. The injured people came from both cars. The crash happened at the intersection of Pike Street and Pettyville Road on Thursday around 1 p.m. according to the Wood County 911 Center. We do not know the extent of the injuries or the cause of the crash.

NORTH HILLS, W.Va. (WTAP) - A fire broke out in a facility/warehouse at the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Airport, according to the Wood County 911 Center. Dispatch says the call came in around 3:10-3:15 p.m. for a fire on the 200 block of Airport Industrial Park Road. The fire was put out at 3;40 p.m. according to dispatch. The Waverly Volunteer Fire Department was on the scene, and the Williamstown Fire Department and Camden Clark Ambulance Service were on stand-by. No injuries have been reported.

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) -There was a meeting at First United Methodist Church on Julianna Street in Parkersburg on Monday night to address homelessness in the city. The hosts were Parkersburg City Council Members Wendy Tuck and Zak Huffman. Michele VanMatre was the moderator and volunteer coordinator. Huffman and Tuck hosted a town hall on homelessness back in April.

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) -Different organizations were honored during the Wood County Board of Education meeting on Tuesday. Different bands from around the county were honored and so were SkillsUSA winners. Ten of those students came back with medals. There was also a community service presentation by “Serenity Styles.” Stephen Tupitza was chosen as Teacher of the Year for Wood County.

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - First Energy Personnel says recent scam attempts have been made in the Mon Power Service area. Scammers may pose as FirstEnergy or Mon Power representatives and call customers, saying their power will be cut off unless they call a provided number to make payment.
