    ELIZABETH, W.Va. (WTAP) - One person suffered a minor burn after a structure fire broke out in Elizabeth Thursday evening. 21 firefighters responded to a call on the 200 block of Hemlock Street in Elizabeth after a structure caught fire around 4 p.m. Thursday. Crews were able to put the fire out, but the house is a total loss. The garage adjacent to the house also has minor damage. According to the Elizabeth Fire Chief, Chief Settle, everyone, including the cats, made it out of the house.

    PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - National Naloxone Awareness Day is a time to educate people on the uses of Narcan. Narcan is used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. There is no limit on usage, and it is not harmful if it is used on other drugs, but it only helps with opioids, nothing else. After administering Narcan, you should get the person to the hospital.

The morning was filled with a lot of cheering, laughter, smiles, and dancing. This is a time to give the older generation something they may have never had a chance to participate in.

    VINCENT, Ohio (WTAP) - Three Warren students are headed to the State Track & Field meet, and many friends and family waved them on. Amanda Rauch, Clay Perry, and Sydney Starcher are competing in Columbus for the state title. Each competitor has been running track since the 7th grade. Amanda joined the track team after watching her brother pole vault. The coach gave her a chance to try it one day, and she fell in love with it. Sydney followed her mother’s dreams.

Chris Day, the owner of Discounted Pool Supplies, says owning a pool is not as much work as people may think. He says you need to find what cleaning method works best for you and how much time you can block off from your day. Typically, only 15 minutes. You will usually chlorinate a pool once a week and sweep it a few times a week, depending on your preference.
