    MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) - The Women’s Giving Circle in Marietta has recently awarded $11,000 to three different non-profits. The group started after a donor brought up the idea to the Marietta Community Foundation. Soon after, women from the area began to meet twice a year to support different non-profits that focus on women and children needs. The funds raised for these grants come from membership fees. Since the group was founded in 2016, they have awarded more than $100,000 in grant funding.

    MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) - The City of Marietta has a big next couple of years ahead, with many economic changes on the horizon. The biggest one being the Levee project. The city was granted $9.4 million from the Appalachian Community Grant Program to completely fund this project. The fountain will be relocated to the area where the commons area is located. This will allow that intersection to open up, making it much safer for pedestrians.
