NORWALK, Conn. — The City of Norwalk has selected Lt. Col. Howard W. Dixon, a retired U.S. Air Force pilot and local civic leader, as Grand Marshal for its 2025 Memorial Day Parade. The parade will take place on Monday, May 26, beginning at 10 a.m. at Veterans Park and ending at the Town Green on East Avenue. Dixon served for 23 years as an Air Force pilot, flying missions around the world.

The initiative began with Metsä Board donating rolls of its MetsäBoard Prime FBB EB paperboard—a recyclable and compostable material with barrier properties against grease and moisture.

ROWAYTON, Conn. — The 6th Taxing District (6TD) recently conducted a survey to gather input on the management of the Rowayton Dog Park, receiving strong participation from 370 respondents. The results highlighted key concerns and suggestions from the community, leading to immediate actions to improve park operations. Demographics and Usage:85% of respondents live in Rowayton. 56% reported using the dog park, with 41% visiting weekly or daily.
