KENDALL COUNTY, Texas — A bill awaiting Gov. Greg Abbott’s signature could dramatically alter Texas’ booming hemp industry by banning the sale of THC products. Critics argue the move threatens thousands of jobs and millions in tax revenue. Austin Ruple founded Texas Pur Labs and has been in the industry since 2012, working originally with CBD. Six years ago, he took advantage of a then-new Texas law which allowed hemp farming. He then began manufacturing protects that contain THC.

SAN ANTONIO — Road rage is a violent problem in and around San Antonio that experts believe is getting worse. From October 2023 to October 2024, law enforcement in Bexar County received more than 50,000 reckless driving calls. Just this week, a one-month-old baby was hurt during a shooting off Loop 1604 police believed was caused by road rage. However, there is a group of people looking for solutions to the problem.

However, Mikayla Suttles said she is not afraid to speak out about what happened. “It’s violating,” Suttles said. “I mean I was recorded naked in my own home.

SAN ANTONIO — The family of a Bexar County inmate killed last month spoke out on the day of his funeral to demand change. Former jailer Clemente Lopez is accused of murder after investigators said he allowed a violent attack on 46-year-old Francisco Bazan inside his cell. Four inmates are also facing murder charges. That investigation led to another jailer’s arrest. Jorge Alejandro Rocha is accused of allowing similar attacks but is not charged in connection to Bazan’s death.
