SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — The City of Shelbyville is dealing with major flooding this morning as both the Big Blue and Little Blue rivers rise to dangerous levels. Emergency crews are urging residents in low-lying areas to evacuate as conditions are dangerous. The Big Blue River is nearing it’s record height of 20.4 feet and the Little Blue River has peaked at 13.28 inches, and is beginning to recede despite being in a major flood stage.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A major investment is coming to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park, marking both a historic remembrance and a new beginning. The MLK Gateway Project aims to elevate the southern portion of park. The $6.8 million investment will add a new plaza, walkways, upgraded landscaping, and an expansion of the Landmark for Peace Memorial. The 14-acre park was established in 1961.
