A portfolio of 24 apartment units in Mt. Vernon are headed to auction this month — the latest change for the historic neighborhood, which has recently seen restaurants close and apartment and office buildings change hands. The apartments are owned by entities of Delancey Street Capital, a real estate investment group headed by Daniel Kline that is shedding most of its holdings in Greater Baltimore after Kline's move to New England.

A new state fee to gain access to public land records and deeds is drawing backlash from regular users who say costs will be passed on to consumers and property owners.
