ALBANY, N.Y. — As the spring weather finally warmed up, the Ballston Spa Scotties’ bats were scorching hot. The Scotties also burned up the basepaths in their 15-0, mercy rule win against the Albany Falcons on Monday afternoon at Westland Hills Park. Offensively, the Scotties collected eight hits and walks and stole 13 bases. “I think it’s the first time this spring we’ve had decent weather, most of our spring, so just that alone can hype up a team,” Scotties head coach Amanda Fifield said.
