The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Carrboro man and charged him with multiple felonies, including three counts of kidnapping and three counts of human trafficking involving a child victim. Edwin Silva-Badillo, 22, was taken into custody Wednesday and is currently being held without bond at the Chatham County Detention Center. The investigation started Saturday, when the sheriff’s office received a report of a missing child.

Six UNC men’s and women’s lacrosse players have been named as nominees for the Tewaaraton Award, given annually to the national player of the year.
