The Athletics have had a bumpy start to their first year based in West Sacramento, especially in home games. The A’s will play their second day game of the season in West Sacramento next Wednesday, and it’ll offer Sacramento-area sports fans a rare opportunity. It’s the first day the Kings and A’s play at home on the same day, and potentially the only day this year that fans could watch both teams in person for a doubleheader. The A’s play at 12:35 p.m. and the Kings at 7 p.m. For the Kings, Wednesday marks the first game in a three-game home stand that will conclude their regular season.
