Bowling Green tests out new bike lane BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The city of Bowling Green is always looking at new ways to keep the public safe and this green strip is a test for that purpose. Recently a state-approved vendor gave a demo to the city, treating part of a bike lane with a vibrant green paint mixed with glass beads, visible to motorists and better textured for tires.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The further south you go, traditions run stronger like respect for those who have passed away. A funeral procession doesn’t always happen, but when it does, it can mean a lot to loved ones when traffic comes to a slow crawl for them to head to the cemetery. As Bowling Green grows, there might be some newcomers who are unaware or not accustomed to such a practice as yielding to the line of cars but it is a sign of respect as well as state law.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Another piece of public art went on display at the corner of Center Street and East Eighth Avenue, symbolizing one of the things Bowling Green Municipal Utilities does best. BGMU supplies power, water and fiber optic connections to the Bowling Green community, and following the ideals of past Warren County judge-executive Michael Buchanon, the general manager decided to implement a plan on his own.

SMITHS GROVE, Ky. – Just a mile apart, a young pup by the name of Addison found herself down in a sinkhole for multiple days. William Bush said his daughter’s dog ran away on May 21, which wasn’t unlikely, but became concerning after a couple of days. Bush said he and his wife posted Addison on Facebook as missing on the 25th after riding around the area for a few days.
