    PARK CITY, Utah — On Friday, the Park City High School Miners boys soccer team beat the Mountain Crest Mustangs from Nephi 3 to 1 at home on Dozier Field. The Miners eliminated the Mustangs and advanced through the Utah state playoff tournament. The weather was mostly sunny, the polar opposite of the freezing temperatures the Miners played in earlier that week. In 100% precipitation, they also won that home game 3-1 against Tooele.

    PARK CITY, Utah — Not only was Friday the last time the PCHS Varsity Baseball Miners played on their home field, but it was also the last time any team will play there, as the field will undergo transformative construction this summer, with the sport relocating to a brand-new facility next year. The Varsity Baseball Miners team is advancing in the playoffs, which will be hosted in St. George.

    SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — USA Luge Slider Search, the official nationwide athlete recruitment tour of USA Luge, tailor made for athletes ages 10-13, is making a rare stop in Utah. Athletes who progress through the team development ladder have hopes of one-day becoming members of the National and Olympic Luge Teams. The Salt Lake City dates are May 17, 18. Near the University of Utah Campus, the location is on Colorow Road between Colorow Drive and  Huntsman Way.

    PARK CITY, Utah—Park City High School senior Avery Dainton won first place in her solo dance competition in St. George in April. This was the final competition of her high school athletic career, which also included cheerleading. She and the Miners cheer squad cheered for football, basketball and hockey this year traveling to away games in Salt Lake, Tooele, and Provo.
