SANDY, Utah – Real Salt Lake legend and long-time Major League Soccer / U.S. Men’s National Team veteran goalkeeper Nick Rimando saw his name added to the Club’s Ring of Honor at America First Field on Saturday. He played an integral role in bringing Utah its first, and to date only, major sports championship. That came when RSL claimed the MLS Cup title in 2009 with a shootout victory over the star-studded LA Galaxy, the second of two MLS Cups won by Rimando (D.C. United, 2004).

PARK CITY, Utah — In its first season as a new nonprofit, Nordic Combined USA (NCUSA) flew far and skied fast in 2024. In Junior Nationals in Park City last season 40 athletes competed in Nordic Combined, the sport that combines cross-county skiing and ski jumping. Park City had 36 youth try Nordic Combined through Youth Sports Alliance’s Get Out And Play programs, and the 2025 World Championships Team included Olympian Stephen Schumann from the Park City Ski & Snowboard Team.

PARK CITY, Utah — The dog park located at Quinn’s Jct. is undergoing upgrades. Fencing, benches, parking, entrance, water, turf, and trees are all becoming the new Ian Wyman Legacy Dog Park. Troy Daley has worked for Park City Municipal for 35 years, the now Public Works Director told TownLift, “We’re trying to do enhancements as well as improve maintenance and the aesthetics. PARK CITY, Utah — National Trails Day is an annual day of service and celebration the first Saturday in June all across the country including Park City. Mountain Trails Foundation employees, 13 of them, were joined by 100 volunteers and divided their efforts on the day between two projects. One crew of 66 started from the National Ability Center parking lot and worked on the Somewhere elk’s trail, building a reroute, improving corners, pulling invasive weeds and working on drainage.

MILAN — Four Olympians and Paralympians served as special guest judges on June 5 on Top Chef: Milan, filmed in the host city of the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. The show, which marked the beginning of its season finale episodes, featured sweeping aerial shots of Milan reminiscent of Olympic broadcast visuals. The set design prominently included the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic logos, along with the Olympic rings.

Although no competitions are being held this month, finite spots are allocated to points winners, globes winners, and world championships winners simultaneous to equations being calculated on a global level.
