Kenner police detectives have arrested a third suspect in connection with the death of a Kansas City sports reporter, allegedly killed while in the New Orleans area to cover the Super Bowl. Christian Anderson, 33, of New Orleans, is accused of joining suspects Danette Colbert, 48, and Rickey White, 34, in their long-running scheme to target men out drinking in the New Orleans French Quarter.

Crews from the Third District Volunteer Fire Department were on the scene of a two-alarm fire in Metairie on Friday morning. The blaze was reported about 8:41 a.m. in the 800 block of South Sibley Street, according to Jefferson Parish officials. There was no information immediately available about whether anyone was injured. It's also not known if anyone was inside the residence when the fire began. As of 9 a.m., the fire was reported to be under control.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office has identified the 62-year-old woman shot by deputies in the parking lot of a Marrero store on Wednesday. Paige Robin, of Lafitte, was still hospitalized in stable condition on Thursday. She is expected to survive her injuries, according to Capt. Jason Rivarde, spokesperson for the department. Though she is still being treated, Robin has been booked with four counts of aggravated assault of a police officer. No bail has been set.
