    Moorpark has a new city manager. PJ Gagajena, who has served as Moorpark’s assistant city manager since 2020, will succeed City Manager Troy Brown, officials announced May 27. Brown has served as Moorpark’s city manager since 2018 and in 2024 announced plans to retire in June 2025. Gagajena’s promotion by the City Council follows a nationwide search and is effective June 28, 2025. “I’m absolutely excited,” Gagajena told the Business Times May 27.
