    A man was killed on Tuesday night after they were struck by a commercial vehicle in New Westminster. The New Westminster Police Department tells 1130 NewsRadio that around 7 p.m. the pedestrian was hit at McBride Boulevard and 8 Avenue. When officers arrived, they found the victim unresponsive. "With the assistance of the BC Coroners Service and New Westminster Fire and Rescue Services, the male was removed from underneath the vehicle," Sgt. Andrew Leaver said Wednesday.
