On June 9, 2025, a New Castle County grand jury indicted 33-year old Dhron Goldsborough for murder in connection to a shooting in Wilmington nearly two years ago. Goldsborough allegedly shot 44-year old Aaron Reid to death on July 11, 2023, in the area of Pleasant and Harrison streets in the city's Hilltop neighborhood.

Delaware State Police crash investigators from the Collision Reconstruction Unit at Troop 3 were called out Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in Kent County for the second consecutive night for a fatal motorcycle crash. Troopers said a motorcycle was on Westville Road near Hazletville around 7:45 p.m., ran off the roadway, and hit a ditch. The rider, a 64-year old Camden-Wyoming man, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

Joel Coppadge of Wilmington will become the DRBA's 6th Executive Director, and first African-American, when he takes over on July 14, 2025. The Delaware State Police Troop 3 Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a crash Monday night, June 16, 2025, north of Magnolia that killed a motorcyclist. The collision happened on Walnut Shade Road at Douglas Fir Round around 8 p.m.Investigators said a car, driven by a 30-year old Felton man, pulled into the motorcycle's path, ejecting the rider. The victim, a 46-year old man also from Felton, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was not hurt.
