    Surprisingly, amaretto was never the end game, which is funny considering that the famed almond-flavoured liqueur is what first put Sons of Vancouver on the distillery map. The decision to start making the Italian classic on Canadian shores was, however, a calculated one. Before the North Vancouver distillery could think about jumping into the whisky game—which requires product sitting in barrels for years before it’s ready for bottling—it had to do something to get the money flowing.
