Well, colour us absolutely shocked. Early this morning on social media, Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane broke the news that he had been traded to the Vancouver Canucks. It’s very rare that you get to experience a restaurant in Vancouver without any pre-warning. No preview posts of the interior circulating on Instagram. No “A new [cuisine] spot is coming to [neighbourhood] and we couldn’t be more excited!” clickbaity articles. So on the one hand, I’m very sorry to be stealing that feeling from you. And by the time I post this, there probably will be a handful of those articles online.
