1. IntroductionSoft soil has a high natural moisture content, high compressibility, and low strength, and is widely distributed in coastal areas, lowland plains, and mountain marshes. The coastal soft soil is classified as being of the coastal sedimentary type, including coastal, lagoon, drowned valley, and delta facies. Qingdao Jiaozhou Bay is a semi-enclosed shallow water bay formed after Holocene transgression, with no inflow of large rivers and a low sediment supply [1].
