A second man has been charged in relation to a shooting that left two seriously injured in Surrey, B.C., in December. According to a statement from the Surrey Police Service, officers were deployed to the 12600 block of 67B Avenue, in the city’s Newton neighbourhood, Dec. 16 amid a call from a woman claiming she and her husband had been shot while outside. Both victims were hospitalized with serious injuries.

A woman is in hospital with serious wounds after a stabbing incident in New Westminster, B.C., Tuesday morning. Officers were called to the 500 block of Columbia Street amid a report of an assault with an edged weapon, the New Westminster Police Department said in a statement. The woman was found with stab wounds on both arms and was treated at the scene before being transported to hospital.

A poacher in Prince Rupert, B.C., is facing a fine of over $8,000 following an investigation into the unlawful killing of moose and elk in the province’s north. Conservation officers from B.C.’s Skeena and Omineca regions began investigating in 2019 following a report to the provincial Report All Poachers and Polluters line, the Conservation Officer Service said in a statement.
