CRESCENT CITY, Fla. — A Putnam County man is dead after a crash on U.S. 17 involving a golf cart and a car. A 59-year-old man from Crescent City was driving a golf cart east from a private driveway attempting to cross U.S. 17 around 3:44 p.m., according to a release from Florida Highway Patrol. A sedan, driven by a 23-year-old man from Crescent City, was driving north on U.S. 17, approaching Old U.S. 17, when the golf cart pulled out from the driveway and into the sedan's path, the release says.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Ahead of Hurricane Milton's forecasted impacts to Northeast Florida, several counties and cities have announced plans for neighbors to gather sandbags to protect their property. Here is a list of what we know so far. This story will be updated as information is released. Clay County Emergency Management will have sandbags available at several locations on Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. They are limited to 10 per person on a first-come, first-served basis.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — JEA customers will not need to worry about their utilities being disconnected for nonpayment ahead of Hurricane Milton's impacts to Northeast Florida. The utility suspended disconnections due to nonpayment following Hurricane Helene's arrival to the First Coast, which led to thousands of customers losing power. Initially, that temporary suspension was scheduled to be lifted once all customers' power was restored.
