Six months after accusing Antoine Massey of a brutal domestic assault that landed her in the hospital and him in jail, a woman is now behind bars herself — accused of helping Massey break out, according to court documents. Louisiana State Police confirmed Tuesday that the woman had been arrested for acting as a principal to an aggravated escape and obstructing justice. The 21-year-old is being held without bond in the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center, according to jail records.

Another woman was arrested on accessory after the fact in connection with the New Orleans jailbreak, bringing the list of alleged accomplices to more than a dozen. Daishanae Massey, 31, was arrested for accessory after the fact and booked into St. Tammany Parish Jail, according to Louisiana State Police spokesperson Sgt. Katharine Stegall. Jail records show Massey was booked into jail Monday evening. Antoine Massey and Derrick Groves remain at large as of Tuesday afternoon.

A weak earthquake was reported off Alabama's coast Friday afternoon, officials said. The epicenter of the magnitude 3.1 quake registered at 2:41 p.m. Friday about 70 miles south of of Gulf Shores, Alabama, and 220 miles from Baton Rouge, according to the U.S. Geological Survey's website. It was about six miles deep, and no tsunamis were reported. In 2023, a 3.3-magnitude earthquake struck approximately 130 miles south of Orange Beach, according to reporting by AL.com.
