Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Now through May 15th, the Animal Foundation will be holding an "Empty the Shelters" event, with adoption fees waived for large dogs over 30lbs and over 6 months old. A $10 license fee may apply. Adoptions will take place on a first-come, first-served basis for walk-in traffic, beginning at 11am each day. The Animal Shelter stresses that you shouldn't bring pets that you currently have along with you, as they don't allow in-shelter dog-to-dog interactions.

Work began back in 2022 to rebuild the interchange at I-15 and Tropicana, and drivers have been dealing with closures, lane restrictions and plenty of cones since the work began. A major milestone in the project comes on Thursday, but not without a little more pain preceding.

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Las Vegas Metro Police said Thursday night that a man has been arrested for tossing a Chihuahua into a dumpster and leaving the scene. 30-year-old Alexis Flores as the suspect in this case. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for three counts of Willful/Malicious Torture/Maim/Kill Dog/Cat/Animals. The incident happened on Monday morning in a neighborhood near Smoke Ranch and Jones.

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Roughly 50 motorcycles were destroyed after a fire broke out at an east-side dealership on Thursday afternoon. Clark County Fire and Rescue first got the call about the blaze at RideNow Powersports just after 2pm. The business is located near Russell and Boulder HighwayFirefighters were able to quickly get the outside fire under control before it spread, and no structures were damaged. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire isn't yet known.
