PITTSFIELD — Half a century ago, the Vietnam War came to an official close. But for some veterans, the scars of that conflict linger. "Many veterans to this day remain somewhat silent from their combat and traumatic encounters," master of ceremonies and Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 65 Cmmdr. Woody Vaspra said at a gathering commemorating Vietnam War Veterans Day in Park Square Saturday.
