NORTH ADAMS — Two Springfield men face drug and gun charges after a North Adams traffic stop and subsequent search of two hotel rooms at the Berkshire Inn. On Tuesday, the North Adams Police Detective Unit investigated 115 Bradley St. in North Adams for suspected distribution of narcotics. "Observations at the address" led to a traffic stop, police say.

MOUNT WASHINGTON — The Mount Washington entrance to Bash Bish Falls State Park will be closed through June 12. However, residents can still access the park through its parking area and trails viewing area from Taconic State Park in New York. The closure, which will accommodate trail erosion and drainage work, was previously in effect through Friday. However, on Friday the state Department of Recreation announced the extension of the closure.

PITTSFIELD — A cyclist suffered potentially life threatening injuries Friday night after he was struck by a car on Cheshire Road, police say. The male cyclist, 33, was hit from behind shorty before 8:39 p.m. by a 2008 Subaru Impreza in front of Berkshire Gas, according to a news release from the Pittsfield Police Department.
