    FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- PWC customers in the Fayetteville area could possibly see higher rates because of actions from the federal government. The utility company said that more than $80 million, which was previously awarded, is now on hold because of an executive order President Trump signed in January. The grants were for things like new tech and cybersecurity, and PWC says it might have to raise rates for customers to compensate for that lack of funding.

The customer, Alisa Reed, appeared in court for the first time on Thursday in Cumberland County. She is facing multiple charges including attempted first-degree murder. Police Chief Errol Jarman called it "a senseless act of violence" that now a child as well as her family and friends will have to heal from.

The training only happens every three years--and it's coming just as the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are working on reforms to make flying safer nationwide after a series of crashes.
