A local nonprofit is hosting its biggest fundraiser of the year this weekend.Rebuilding Together New Orleans' Build and Boil event is happening Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at 2801 Marais St.For $40, attendees can eat all the crawfish they want while supporting the organization's mission to make critical home repairs for low-income families, veterans and other deserving individuals. That work is done free of charge for the homeowner."We’re getting calls for these repairs that are Ida-related.

An organization offering free mental health services across nine parishes in Southeast Louisiana is hosting a massive fundraiser on Saturday, May 17, at 9 a.m.The National Alliance on Mental Illness, or NAMI, hosts fundraising walks across the country. NAMI Southeast Louisiana expects upwards of 1,000 people to attend its event, which is taking place at the Safe Haven campus in Mandeville.
