SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The North Syracuse Police Department is welcoming a new police K-9 to the ranks. However, this ‘police pup’ is more likely to be found snuggling with someone than sniffing them in search of drugs. As the newest addition to the team, the cuddlesome pup is helping the police department tackle both officer and community wellness. “Relationships with dogs have shown to decrease blood pressure,” said North Syracuse Police Chief Chance Fieldson.
