In a tragic incident, a youth and his father died after a wall collapsed on them at Paschimabada under Balasore’s Jaleswar police limits on Monday. The deceased youth's mother has also sustained multiple injuries in the mishap. The deceased have been identified as Sheikh Samiruddin and his son Sheikh Arif. As per reports, Arif and his parents were sitting beside a house along the road when its wall suddenly collapsed and fell down on them.

On the heels of a diarrhoea outbreak in Sambalpur’s Hirakud, the special medical team from Bhubaneswar will inspect the water purification system in the town on Monday. The medical team is scheduled to collect samples of drinking water from the purification centre and send it to the lab for test. As per reports, the cumulative figure of diarrhoea-infected patients in Hirakud reached 172 on Monday.
