Odisha TV, commonly known as OTV, is a regional cable television channel that broadcasts in the Odia language. It is the main channel of the Odisha Television Network, which is headquartered in Bhubaneswar. The channel was initiated and supported by Jagi Mangat Panda and holds the distinction of being the first private electronic media outlet in Odisha. Since its launch in 1988 in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, OTV has gradually expanded its reach to all major towns across the state. It has become a vital source of news, current affairs, and entertainment for the people of Odisha. In December 2006, OTV transitioned from cable broadcasting to satellite transmission. Odisha Television Ltd is a trailblazer in the media industry, setting new standards for television viewing in Odisha. It stands as a dominant player in the market, offering a diverse range of channels that include OTV, Odisha Reporter, Desh TV, Tarang TV, Tarang Music, Prarthana TV, and Alankar TV.
