A massive fire ravaged a residential house and left two firefighters injured in the Hyderpora area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district early Wednesday morning, officials said. An official told Kashmir Front-KF that the fire originated around 06:00 A.M from two electrical transformers and quickly engulfed the entire surrounding house in the Bench Colony area of Hyderpora.

An encounter erupted between security forces and militants in the Redwani Payeen area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district late Monday evening. An official stated that the encounter began when joint teams of forces initiated a search operation in the area. “During a search operation, as the search party proceeded towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired indiscriminately upon them, which was retaliated to, leading to an encounter,” he said.

The Meteorological Centre in Srinagar has issued a weather advisory predicting fresh intermittent light spells of rain accompanied by thunder over several areas in the Kashmir Division and some parts of the Jammu Division. An Official told Kashmir Front-KF, there is a possibility of hailstorms at a few locations, mainly expected from the afternoon to late evening or night hours.
