Lauren’s Little Pantry was launched in April 2023 at Wentworth Place, and was named in honour of the late Lauren Quinn, a well-known community figure, who dedicated much of her time feeding the homeless and those in need. Lauren, who was battling a rare form of terminal cancer at the time, was present at the launch and carried out the official ribbon cutting ceremony. Unfortunately, she died five months later.

Those branches in Wicklow town, Arklow, Bray, Blessington and Greystones, have received autism friendly accreditation from AsIAm to ensure they are as accessible and inclusive as possible for autistic people. This makes AIB the first Irish bank to receive the accreditation for all its branches.

Paul served in the dioceses of Ikot-Ekpene, Minna and Bomadi, Nigeria, and was a most zealous pastor and a much-revered science teacher by all his students. Paul Hardy was born on July 3, 1937 in 48 Springview Street, Belfast to James Hardy and his wife Brigid (née McKenna). He was the eldest of a family of four boys and one girl. Paul attended St Finian’s Primary School, Falls Road, from 1943 to 1951 and had his secondary education in St Malachy’s, Belfast from 1951 to 1956.

As they celebrate their annual Rhododendron Week, National Botanic Gardens of Ireland Kilmacurragh have reflected on why their visitor numbers last year soared by some 21pc, while figures at other Co Wicklow attractions fell. Figures released by the Office of Public Works (OPW) revealed that visitors to Kilmacurragh Gardens increased from 147,634 in 2023 to 179,267 in 2024.
