An Army helicopter pilot from Cibolo was found dead Saturday in Honduras, prompting an investigation by the Honduran National Police. The body of 1st Lt. Marciano Parisano, 25, was found beside a shallow river. Neither the Army nor Honduran authorities indicated whether his death was the result of foul play. Parisano was a 2018 graduate of Byron P. Steele II High School in Cibolo. He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., in 2023.

James Val Lee Cotter, a former business partner of Brad Chandler Simpson, was arrested on Monday on suspicion of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony.
