Three Bexar County jail deputies are out of a job, and several others - four inmates and four civilians - face charges as part of a major drug smuggling investigation inside the jail, authorities said. A San Antonio mother accused of helping her son plan a school shooting appeared in court Thursday for the first time since her arrest, telling the judge she couldn't pay her bills and was too afraid to ask anyone for help. Ashley Pardo, 33, asked a judge to modify the conditions of her bond so that she could return to work - despite prosecutors arguing she remains a danger to the public. Pardo was arrested on May 13 and charged with aiding in the commission of terrorism.

An Army helicopter pilot from Cibolo was found dead Saturday in Honduras, prompting an investigation by the Honduran National Police. The body of 1st Lt. Marciano Parisano, 25, was found beside a shallow river. Neither the Army nor Honduran authorities indicated whether his death was the result of foul play. Parisano was a 2018 graduate of Byron P.
