Though the bullet holes are gone and the days are distant, the memories are fresh. Tilda Leaks and her son were near the Mad Butcher and both thought they heard fireworks. As a fleeing driver told them their cousin was shot, Leaks’ son ran up the road toward the scene.

    Independent movie ‘Rats’ filming this weekend in Little RockLITTLE ROCK, Ark. – An independent short film is shooting in the Little Rock River Market. The production began Thursday morning and will run through Monday morning, closing a portion of President Clinton Avenue. The short film’s title is “Rats.” The fictional story is based on a real experience Japanese director and 2025 University of Central Arkansas graduate Ren Tsukamoto had in Chicago last year.
