    NEW YORK (KSNT) – K-State senior point guard Serena Sundell is moving on to the next phase of her basketball career. Sundell was selected in the third round, 26th overall, by the Seattle Storm in the WNBA Draft Monday, April 14. She was one of just 15 players invited to attend the draft in person at ‘The Shed’ in New York City. She’s just the ninth Wildcat in program history to be selected in the draft and the 12th overall to join the league.

Coach Kendall Mouton, who has guided the Wolfpack to a perfect 3-0 start to the season, isn't sure when the program won its last three games to start the season, and it doesn't matter to the first-year coach, who gives his team 24 hours to celebrate each win, and then it's on to the next. "After 24 hours, we get right back to work," said Mouton, whose team hosts undefeated Jeanerette Sr. High on Friday at 7 PM.

Dunigan currently serves as cheer captain for the Delcambre High School cheerleading squad, brass section captain for the Pride of Pantherland marching band, and is one of the DHS powerlifting team’s best performers. Dunigan is the first to admit that doing so much isn’t easy, giving credit to the support that she receives from everyone around her.

    Division IV top-ranked Catholic High split a pair of volleyball matches this week against a top five team in its division and the overall No. 1 team in the state. The Lady Panthers, who sit atop the Division IV power ratings with a 7-1 record, knocked off No. 5 Lafayette Christian in straight sets at home on Tuesday. "We passed well so we were in system most of the match," CHS coach Gary Westcott said. "That enabled us to get sets for our two middles, Madison Broussard and Anna Kate Minvielle.
